22 April 2011, flying: 193nm/24hr (Adam)
We have been flying the past night and day. The wind just over a 90 degree angle, moderate seas and around 20-30 knots of breeze are enough to send Elena racing off the waves (and sometimes through). We managed a 193nm run in 24 hours and that is in Elena's top 10 quickest days until now. We have reefed down for the night, but we're still making good progress.

Days like this make us appreciate Elena even more. She's such a strong and well balanced boat and it doesn't really matter what we do, she'll just take us there.
Leonie finally had her shower! All blossom and roses again. That was the good news, the bad news was the weather change made some new casualties. Sharon is back to her bean bag in the cockpit and Nathan and Mees saw their breakfast twice today. The latter two were fine the rest of the day.
Sadly, the Black team was not allowed to fish today. We have to finish yesterdays Mahi Mahi first. So another 2 kg's of fish went in the pasta saus today… Which by the way was awesome.
We celebrated half way point today with ciders, brie and hams and a quick call to Ceesje to find out all was well back home. It is another 550 miles to go, so we're looking at ariving Tuesday afternoon local time.
